
Dr. Mary Anne is a 1988 graduate of College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, now part of Western University of Health Sciences. She completed an internship at Doctor's Hospital, Montclair, CA where she received the Intern of the Year Award. In 1992 she completed her residency in pediatrics at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
With a successful career spanning over 15 years, Dr. Mary Anne has distinguished herself as a physician, professor and lecturer. As a board certified osteopathic pediatrician, she is committed to improving the health of children and their families.
After completing residency, she practiced for many years at San Diego's Osteopathic Center for Children with the renowned Viola Frymann, DO, FAAO. During which time Dr. Mary Anne earned a certificate of special proficiency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine from the American Academy of Osteopathy and became certified in cranial osteopathy by the Cranial Academy. In 2005 she moved her practice to Coronado, California, where she is close to her family and community.
Dr. Mary Anne is passionate about the contribution that osteopathy's holistic approach makes to children's health and development. She has taught about the osteopathic approach to treating children in the United States, Europe and Australia and has served as faculty for The Cranial Academy, the Osteopathic Center for Children and the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation. She is an associate professor for Western University, serving as a preceptor for medical students interested in treating children. She has published in the AAO Journal and was a contributing author for the Foundations of Osteopathic Medicine, 2nd Ed. 2003. Dr. Mary Anne, an avid student, continues to take courses related to osteopathic medicine, functional medicine, children's health issues and nutrition.
Dr. Mary Anne is also active in giving community and school lectures on the contribution of osteopathic medicine to children's health and learning ability, and the importance of a good diet.
In order to stay current in her field Dr. Mary Anne is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians, American Academy of Osteopathy, San Diego Osteopathic Medical Association and the Cranial Academy.
